ABOUT RUNA
Runa is a contemporary artist from Berlin, with a background in movement and choreography.
She studied and worked in Germany, Spain and Portugal as a performer, choreographer and movement director for dance film.
Her work focuses on social issues such as mental health, climate activism, LGBTQ+identity, and injustices.

In addition to her movement and screen work, Runa is a female filmmaker and video editor. Her creations have been showcased at dance festivals in Berlin and film festivals across France, the UK, Germany, Canada and the US.
​
Runa is also a passionate and empathetic educator, teaching contemporary dance, Pilates, and a variety of movement and fitness classes online and in studios.
​
This year she has a received a collaboration with the cultural senate of Berlin in order to bring climate activism projects to schools, supporting students in film and photo exhibitions about water scarcity.
​
Currently based between Portugal and Germany, she continues to inspire others through her dynamic blend of art, activism, and movement.
